On the guided tour, you can experience real-world Java applets that access Btrieve directly from a web page without the use of scripting languages or relying on HTML. The guided tour also features ActiveX-based applications that show true client/server database connectivity over the Internet. Browse, edit and update Btrieve data in real-time on our test servers in Nashville, Tennessee.

Pervasive, a maker of embedded database software, now has a market value of $147.4 million based on its latest share price of $11.25. "Btrieve Developer's Journal" magazine Managing Editor Kathy Jones (e-mail: kathy@smithware.com) has been instrumental in getting the comp.databases.btrieve newsgroup up and running. This new on-line resource is a great place for collaboration and problem solving for issues relating to Btrieve.

You may want to use DejaNews from your web browser at http://search.dejanews.com/bg.xp?level=comp.databases.btrieve to access the news group.

Smithware also has an on-line user's group on the web at http://www.smithware.com/discussion/usergroup.html that demonstrates Smithware's new IDS technology with discussions about Btrieve issues. This discussion group is a Btrieve-based Java applet written using the new Smithware IDS Java classes for Btrieve.
