2. Pervasive Software Updates Conference Plans.

Pervasive Software has announced that it will combine the previously announced U.S. and European conferences into one, world-wide event. The "Pervasive Partner Conference," scheduled for March 16th through 18th will be held in Austin, Texas and will include attendees from around the world.

The audience for the conference will include commercial developers, ISVs and VARs. Pervasive plans to have over 25 workshops covering a variety of development, technical, and business issues with a heavy emphasis on development and technical support.

3. Smithware Delivers Free Internet Test Server.

In order to demonstrate how easy it is to deploy Internet-enabled applications with the Smithware I*net Data Server, we have installed a test server that can be used to set up prototype Btrieve-based applications.

The new IDS Test Server allows customers who have purchased the Smithware I*net Developer's Kit to set up an account with web, ftp, and Btrieve support. On the server, you can set up web pages, applets, and applications that access your Btrieve data on the test server. Fully operational systems can be deployed which can access live Btrieve data on the server to demonstrate how databases can be accessed world-wide over the Internet.
