On Target With Pervasive Software

1998 Pervasive Software Partner Conference
March 15 - 18, 1998. Austin, Texas

Dear Friend of Pervasive:

It's been two years since we hosted our last partner conference. And in that time our company has seen dramatic changes - starting with a name change that reflects our mission to expand the company's role as the leading supplier of embedded databases for the middle market.

The change from Btrieve Technologies to Pervasive Software was just the beginning. We've strengthened our management and development team, adding new depth and experience. We've reported record sales and income, formed vital strategic alliances, and opened new international offices. And in fall 1997, Pervasive Software successfully completed our Initial Public Offering, positioning our company - and our partners - for dominance in the middle market.

I appreciate your support during this exciting time of transition and growth. Adapting to change is often difficult, even when you're changing for the better. Because Pervasive values our partners so highly, we are adopting an "open door" policy that will make this year's conference unlike any other. We'll take you behind the scenes to tell you why we have made such sweeping changes, share our vision of the future and outline what we are doing to ensure your continued success.

The theme for this year's conference is "On Target With Pervasive Software." Working together with our partners, Pervasive has targeted the middle market to offer the most compelling embedded database solutions in the industry - including a new generation of integrated products. Our focus is clear. Our commitment to you, our partners is stronger than ever. And together, we're poised for unprecedented success in 1998 and beyond.

I look forward to seeing you in Austin at our 1998 Pervasive Software Partner Conference.

Sincerely,

Ron Harris
President and CEO
Pervasive Software, Inc.
