Don Spence
Vice President, HPG/HCA Corporate Account Management
Don Spence is responsible for all current business relationships with HealthTrust Purchasing Group (HPG) and it's members, including HCA, Triad, LifePoint, Quorum, and others. Mr. Spence also served as Director of Technology Management leading Medibuy's hosted materials management solution design team. He joined empactHealth.com as a Project Manager in Professional Services in April of 2000, prior to its merger with Medibuy.
Previously, Mr. Spence served as Executive Director of Support Services for Baptist Hospital, a 752-bed acute care facility for six years. Support Services included responsibility for Materials Management, Surgical Support, Environmental Services, CS Sterile, Laundry and Linen, and Environmental Regulations. Prior to Baptist, Mr. Spence was Director of Materials Management, CS Sterile, Surgical Support, and Linen Services for St. Thomas Hospital, a 571-bed tertiary care Medical Center, a Daughters of Charity facility.
Mr. Spence holds a B.S. degree from the University of Memphis. He has coached basketball and softball and is active in civic and community activities.
