Scott A. Smith
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Scott Smith manages all engineering activities at Medibuy including product development, quality engineering and database management. He also manages all technology infrastructure operations including data center and network operations, customer and application support, and all corporate IS functions.
In 1999, Mr. Smith was a co-founder and CTO of empactHealth.com, which merged with Medibuy in July of 2000. Previously, Mr. Smith was President and CEO of Smithware, Inc., a worldwide leader in providing software development and analysis tools for embedded database system engineers and administrators. In early 1998, he negotiated and completed the merger of Smithware with Pervasive Software and was the combined company's Vice President of Product Strategy, responsible for its overall database and Internet product strategy.
Mr. Smith holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from Vanderbilt University. Scott enjoys aviation as an active pilot.
