McKesson Joins Medibuy's Marketplace

SAN DIEGO, October 24, 2001 - Medibuy.com Inc., an e-commerce business services provider for healthcare supply chain efficiency, and McKesson, today announced an agreement to make McKesson's entire line of medical-surgical products available through Medibuy's marketplace. Terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.

McKesson Corporation is the world's largest supply management and healthcare information technology company, and is the most recent addition to Medibuy's growing list of leading suppliers, which includes companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Tyco Healthcare, AGFA, Beckman Coulter, Dade Behring, GE Medical Systems and Roche Diagnostics. Under this agreement, McKesson's entire medical-surgical product line, including future additions, will be available through the Medibuy marketplace.

Medibuy has relationships with buyers representing 42 percent of the acute care market in the United States with combined purchasing power of $23 billion. With more than 10,000 users in over 240 hospitals conducting such daily transactions as purchase orders and requisitions through its marketplace, Medibuy expects that its average hospital customer will be able to place transactions representing more than 36% of their contracted purchasing budget by the first quarter of next year.

"All of us at Medibuy are extremely excited by the opportunity to work with a market leader like McKesson in providing valuable e-commerce solutions to our buyers," said Dennis Murphy, CEO of Medibuy.
